{Last year,  I was driving home from college, I was taking a left turn and heard a slap agaist my car. I was startled, frightened and thinking about all the worst case scenario's that it could be.To my horror it was a cyclist that was sreaming "What the Hell! Did'nt you see me???!!!" I  quickly pulled over and asked if he was o.k.! He said yes but next time, pay more attention! I appologized and started down the road shaking and disstressed. I realized as I was driving, that I did'nt see him at all! He was a silent but deadly accident waiting to happen! Involuntary manslaughter on my side  or eternity for him... GAME OVER!!! That's what happens all to often, just look at all crosses and bike memmorials peppered along every side of the road in America! Thank God that wasn't our exprience! It got me thinking and observing how underlit all non-motorized travellers were around me such as bikers, hikers, skaters, peds and pets...Whew!!!, thats alots of potential problems, especially with the boldness of some who want to challenge a 2ton vehicle! LIGHTNSIGHT was born! and what better place but in the hub of Portland, Oregon, the prototype city of pure green cyclist utopia! "Keep Portland not only wierd but LIT UP!
